Lake Central Overcomes Munster In Face Of Early 3-Run Inning
Lake Central Indians Varsity weathered a scare by Munster in the fourth inning where Lake Central Indians Varsity coughed up three runs, but Lake Central Indians Varsity still won 10-5 on Friday. Munster’s big inning was driven by an error on a ball put in play by Tyler Blair and a double by Bryce Gelarden.
Blake Sivak led the Lake Central Indians Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righty went five innings, allowing five runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one. Ethan Knopf threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Will Moell took the loss for Munster. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking one.
Lake Central Indians Varsity had ten hits in the game. Griffin Tobias and Garrett Weber all managed multiple hits for Lake Central Indians Varsity. Weber and Tobias each collected two hits to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity.
Munster racked up seven hits in the game. Gelarden and Brady Ginaven all managed multiple hits for Munster. Munster was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Gelarden had the most chances in the field with three.
