Lake Central Shuts Out Michigan City
Ethan Knopf didn’t allow a single run against Michigan City, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Lake Central Indians Varsity to a 7-0 victory on Wednesday
Lake Central Indians Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Garrett Weber drew a walk, scoring one run.
Lake Central Indians Varsity scored three runs in the seventh inning. Lake Central Indians Varsity‘s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Joey Carra and Drew Kosteba and by Knopf.
One bright spot for Michigan City was a single by Matthew Iacovetti in the fifth inning.
Knopf was credited with the victory for Lake Central Indians Varsity. Knopf lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out ten.
Iacovetti took the loss for Michigan City. The hurler surrendered four runs on four hits over five innings, striking out four.

Matt Santana had the most chances in the field with nine.
