Lake Central Captures DAC Championship With 11-0 Win Over Portage

Lake Central Indians Varsity defeated Portage 11-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Josh Warn struck out Holder to finish off the game.

One bright spot for Portage was a single by Pierson in the first inning.

Ethan Knopf led the Lake Central Indians Varsity to victory on the hill. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out four. Warn threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Ortiz took the loss for Portage. Ortiz went four and a third innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and striking out six.

Lake Central Indians Varsity hit two home runs on the day. Josh Adamczewski had a homer in the fourth inning. Garrett Weber had a dinger in the fifth inning.
