Indians Can’t Hold Up Against Penn
Lake Central Indians Varsity had a tough time generating runs on Saturday, dropping their game with Penn 10-4.
Lake Central Indians Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Snyder, H singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Penn pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Cam Dombrowski singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run and Rj Cromaryie homered on a 3-2 count, scoring four runs.
Dawson French was credited with the victory for Penn. The ace lasted five innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five. Mason Campbell threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Cirks, C took the loss for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out three.
Snyder, H went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity in hits.
Penn racked up nine hits in the game. Cooper Hums and Dombrowski all managed multiple hits for Penn. Hums led Penn with three hits in four at bats. Penn was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Zach Pelletier made the most plays with eight.
