Lake Central Defeats Portage In A Blow-Out Victory

Lake Central Indians Varsity easily dispatched Portage 9-2 on Wednesday

Lake Central Indians Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Adamczewski, J singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Lake Central Indians Varsity scored three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Lake Central Indians Varsity was led by Warn, J and Robinson, N, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Tobias, G got the win for Lake Central Indians VarsityTobias, G allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out ten. Cuevas, A and Mercer, G entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Cunningham was on the mound for Portage. The pitcher went four and a third innings, allowing nine runs on 11 hits, striking out five and walking one. Archer threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

D Calmbacher led Portage with two hits in three at bats. Portage was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Ortiz made the most plays with five.
