David Byard

David is starting his first year with the LC baseball program, primarily working with pitchers.  David was drafted by the New York Mets in 2000 as a pitcher and played within their minor league system making it to AAA level.  David Byard compiled a career record of 27 wins and 23 losses, with 48 saves, and a 3.49 ERA in his 287-game pitching career with the Kingsport Mets, Brooklyn Cyclones, Capital City Bombers, St. Lucie Mets, Binghamton Mets, Norfolk Tides, Worcester Tornadoes, Gary SouthShore RailCats, Schaumburg Flyers and Joliet JackHammers. He began playing during the 2000 season and last took the field during the 2009 campaign.  Currently David is involved with the 5 Star Great Lake Chiefs 12u.  If he is not at the baseball field he is at the pool for a swim meet with his 12 year old twins, Olivia and Nolan.
