LC Slides Into A Blow-Out Win Over Portage

Lake Central Indians Varsity had no trouble on offense today, winning big over Portage 16-1

Portage got things moving in the first inning. Corez singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Lake Central Indians Varsity notched seven runs in the fourth inning. Lake Central Indians Varsity‘s big bats in the inning were led by singles by Peyton GardConnor Misch, and Jacob Warn, walks by Josh Adamczewski and Griffin Tobias, a sacrifice fly by Colin Mason, and a double by Ethan Knopf.

Conor Pangburn was the winning pitcher for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The righthander surrendered one run on five hits over five innings, striking out eight.

Krostag took the loss for Portage. The bulldog went two and a third innings, allowing nine runs on eight hits and striking out one.

Lake Central Indians Varsity collected 14 hits on the day. MischMasonKnopfOwen Williams, and Warn all collected multiple hits for Lake Central Indians VarsityMisch went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity in hits. Lake Central Indians Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Gard had the most chances in the field with eight.

Corez led Portage with two hits in two at bats. Portage was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Calmgacher had the most chances in the field with four.
