Lake Central Falls to Penn In Semi-State
Lake Central Indians Varsity stayed in it until the end, but Penn pulled away late in a 7-6 victory on Saturday. Penn was down 5-4 in the top of the sixth inning when Cam Dombrowski singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Lake Central Indians Varsity collected six hits and Penn had 12 in the high-scoring affair.
Lake Central Indians Varsity put up three runs in the fourth inning. Robinson, N and Santana, M all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Adam Lehmann got the start for Penn. The fireballer lasted six innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out six.
Tobias, G started the game for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The righty went six innings, allowing six runs on nine hits and striking out three. Sivak, B threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Santana, M led Lake Central Indians Varsity with two hits in three at bats.
Penn tallied 12 hits. Cooper Hums, Rj Cromartie, and Colton Hudnall each managed multiple hits for Penn.
