Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN), 3-2 in a league test.

Lake Central Falls To Crown Point In Rematch – LC (2) vs. CP (3)

There’s no place like home for Crown Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lake Central Indians on Wednesday by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was a revenge game for Crown Point, as the team was forced to settle for a 3-2 defeat when these two played on Tuesday.

Crown Point’s victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joe Sullivan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

On Lake Central’s side, Nick Robinson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Drew Kosteba was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI.

Crown Point’s win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Lake Central, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crown Point will challenge NorthWood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Central, they will head out on the road to take on Northridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
