LC’s Early Lead Over Chesterton Sets Stage For Victory

Lake Central Indians Varsity defeated Chesterton 11-1 thanks to a strong start. Lake Central Indians Varsity scored on a double by Connor Misch, an error, and a sacrifice fly by Colin Mason in the first inning.

Lake Central Indians Varsity tallied five runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught by Lake Central Indians Varsity was led by Hunter SnyderMason, and Josh Warn, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Ethan Knopf took the win for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The righty went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five.

Donley took the loss for Chesterton. The hurler surrendered nine runs on six hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Lake Central Indians Varsity collected nine hits on the day. Misch and Snyder each had multiple hits for Lake Central Indians VarsitySnyder and Misch all had two hits to lead Lake Central Indians VarsityLake Central Indians Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Matt Santana had the most chances in the field with six.
