La Porte Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
Lake Central Indians Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 3-0 loss to La Porte on Wednesday. La Porte scored on a single by Cam Worthington and an error in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. La Porte pitchers struck out four, while Lake Central Indians Varsity sat down nine.
La Porte got things moving in the first inning. La Porte scored one run when Worthington singled.
One bright spot for Lake Central Indians Varsity was a single by Josh Adamczewski in the first inning.
Shane Weaver was credited with the victory for La Porte. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing zero runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one.
Griffin Tobias took the loss for Lake Central Indians Varsity. Tobias went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits, striking out six and walking one.
Tobias, Adamczewski, Hunter Snyder, Josh Warn, and Ethan Knopf each managed one hit to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity.
La Porte was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Caeden Geogr had the most chances in the field with five.
