Two Lake Central Indians Varsity Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against Valparaiso

Lake Central Indians Varsity defeated Valparaiso 3-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Sivak, B induced a fly out from Trent Gill to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Lake Central Indians Varsity pitchers struck out ten, while Valparaiso pitchers sat down four.

One bright spot for Valparaiso was a single by Trevor Fenters in the second inning.

Tobias, G led things off on the mound for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The righthander went six and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on four hits and striking out ten.

Caden Crowell was on the mound for Valparaiso. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over five innings, striking out three. Jimmie Shifflett threw two innings in relief.

Santana, M led Lake Central Indians Varsity with two hits in three at bats. Lake Central Indians Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field. Santana, M had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Crowell went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Valparaiso in hits.
