Bats Blistered As LC Falls To Trinity In High-Scoring Game

Scorekeepers were kept busy today during a high-scoring contest between Trinity and Lake Central Indians Varsity where Lake Central Indians Varsity lost 17-6.

The Lake Central Indians Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Trinity, giving up 17 runs.

Lake Central Indians Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Josh Adamczewski drove in two when Adamczewski tripled.

Trinity evened things up at three in the bottom of the first inning when P Osting homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Trinity pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning. In the second K Dickerson tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, an error scored one run for Trinity, D Morrow was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, J Jchweiter singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and J Neal singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Lake Central Indians Varsity scored three runs in the fourth inning. Lake Central Indians Varsity‘s big inning was driven by a triple by Ethan Knopf, a groundout by Josh Warn, and a double by Joey Carra.

K Campbell was credited with the victory for Trinity. The bulldog surrendered six runs on five hits over five innings, striking out two.

Brenden Smith took the loss for Lake Central Indians Varsity. The southpaw went one and one-third innings, allowing ten runs on four hits and striking out three.

Adamczewski led Lake Central Indians Varsity with two hits in three at bats.

Trinity tallied 12 hits on the day. DickersonJchweiterNeal, and R Reed all collected multiple hits for Trinity. Dickerson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Trinity in hits.
