Four RBI Day For Carra Joey Seals The Deal In Lake Central Indians Varsity’s Victory Over Gibson Southern

Carra Joey drove in four on two hits to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity past Gibson Southern 15-5 on Tuesday. Joey drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a single in the fifth.

Gibson Southern scored four runs in the fourth inning, but Lake Central Indians Varsity still managed to pull out the victory. Bradyn EppersonGarett Reid, and Seth Parsons all drove in runs in the frame.

In the bottom of the second inning, Gibson Southern tied things up at one when Tanner Boyd doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Lake Central Indians Varsity pulled away for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Weber Garrett singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Lake Central Indians Varsity notched six runs in the fifth inning. Lake Central Indians Varsity put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Josh Adamczewski and Hunter Snyder, a walk by Warn Josh, and a single by Joey.

Mercer Grant was the winning pitcher for Lake Central Indians VarsityGrant allowed four hits and three runs over three and a third innings, striking out six. Smith Brenden and Cuevas Alex entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Connor Marvel took the loss for Gibson Southern. The pitcher surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out three.

Lake Central Indians Varsity tallied 14 hits on the day. Santana MattGarrettJoshJoeyAdamczewski, and Snyder each managed multiple hits for Lake Central Indians VarsityMatt went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lake Central Indians Varsity in hits. Joey led Lake Central Indians Varsity with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.

Gibson Southern collected six hits. Parsons and Reid all managed multiple hits for Gibson Southern. Gibson Southern was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Brody Knowles had the most chances in the field with four.
